Ginko Momose is a main character in Link! Like! Love Live!. She is a second-year student at Hasunosora Girls' High School who enrolled with the 103rd class. She is also a member of Cerise Bouquet, a unit under the Hasunosora Girls' High School Idol Club. Her image color is Heavenly Blue.
Background
Ginko's grandmother attended Hasunosora Girls' High School and was a member of the Performing Arts Club, which later became the School Idol Club. She used to sing Ginko a song called "The Song of the Other Side", which they both loved. This song and the deep connection to her grandmother are what inspired Ginko to join the Idol Club, as she believed her grandmother's feelings lived on within the club, even if it now operated under a different name.
Ginko comes from a family that practices Kaganui embroidery, a traditional craft that she also enjoys. Her family is based in Kanazawa. While Ginko usually speaks standard Japanese, she tends to slip into the local Kanazawa dialect when surprised or when talking with her family.
In her hometown, she was mostly surrounded by older people and had little interaction with peers her own age. As a result, she has some difficulty socializing at school.
In her room, she keeps a very round and cute crane plushie, which she talks to. She insists she doesn’t sleep with it every night.
Personality
Ginko is a serious and formal girl who has a deep love for traditions. Initially, she wasn’t interested in school idols themselves, but rather in the Performing Arts Club (which eventually became Hasunosora’s School Idol Club) and its traditions. She enrolled at Hasunosora to inherit and preserve that legacy.
She continues to practice her family's craft of Kaga embroidery and enjoys designing and creating clothes, but is rather insecure about it, as her family is more skilled than she is. Despite this, she hopes to use her abilities to support her fellow Club members. She has a particular fondness for Japanese clothing and is skilled in traditional Japanese dance. Her casual outfits are usually kimonos.
Ginko enjoys taking long walks to admire historical buildings, especially Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples, and takes pride in the museum in her hometown.
She struggles with unexpected situations and tends to freeze under pressure, which is why she feels the need to prepare thoroughly for everything. Ginko’s main weakness is her desire to go with the flow to avoid standing out as strange, which can make her seem stubborn. She's afraid of failure and often hides her true feelings out of fear of annoying others.
Ginko is frequently overwhelmed by Kaho's openness and positivity, and at first tried to keep her distance. She also doesn’t handle compliments well, either brushing them off or becoming too flustered to respond.
Appearance
Ginko is a girl with pale skin. She has a short, greenish black, straight bob that she wears with a white flower accesory with three hoop ribbon design around it in her hair on the left side. She has thick eyebrows, pale yellowish green eyes and heart-shaped lips.
