== Background ==
Minami is the daughter of a daycare owner, where she frequently helps her mother out taking care of the children. The children there often call her 'big sister', so she adopted the nickname and introduced herself as such. At the daycare, she is often found reading to the children, going as far as to make her own books on occasion, and loves to cook for others. Minami has a very busy life as a student, school idol and daycare volunteer, but doesn't find it stressful due to loving all that she does.

== Personality ==
Minami is a sweet and encouraging girl who views herself as 'everyone's big sister' due to her volunteering at her mother's daycare. She is the type to always smile, even when tired, and encourages others to do the same. She also appears to be supportive of all her friends and indulges in their beliefs, such as moving a New Year's meal to [[Sachiko Tanaka]]'s house after she 'trapped herself in a magic circle'. On top of this, she also feels very protective over both the children at the daycare and those at her school.

Minami's main hobby is volunteering at her mother's daycare center. She often helps her mother out by playing with the children, racing them or reading to them. She also helps out with the cooking, often making breakfast or snacks for the children.
