In a live broadcast held January 21, 2025 a series of flower themed duets were announced as a talk topic during the day 2 night sessions of the LoveLive! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club LIVE＆FAN MEETING TOUR Nijigaku Field Trip ～Sing Dance Talk～ tour. [1] The finalized pairings were later announced on May 18, 2025 both in a twitter post by the Nijigasaki movie account[2] and the day 2 Miyagi night show where Setsuna and Mia were revealed as the cactus pair.
A reasoning for each member's flower was also shown during the Miyagi reveal.
Setsuna: The flower's means "undying love" and "burning heart", perfect for Setsuna. The duality of being prickly yet blooming and cute flowers fit Setsuna, who has two identities.
Mia: Her passionate attitude for the things she loves fits the language of cacti symbolizing a "burning heart". Despite its prickly nature, they bloom with cute flowers, just like Mia when she shows her softer side.[3]
