DiverDiva is a unit from the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, consisting of Karin Asaka and Ai Miyashita. They debuted in February 2020 with the single SUPER NOVA.

Background

DiverDiva debuted in season 2 of the Nijigasaki anime. Ai proposed forming a unit to her rival Karin as a way to compete with each other through their joint performances.

Etymology

"Diver" (ダイバー, Daibaa) originates from Odaiba, the town that Nijigasaki High School is located in.

The name DiverDiva was chosen by staff from fan submissions. Other names that were submitted for the group include "SoLuna" and "Beat Cats!!".
