Background

A・ZU・NA debuted in season 2 of the Nijigasaki anime. Shizuku invited Ayumu and Setsuna to form a unit with her after writing a play inspired by them.

Etymology

A・ZU・NA contains a syllable from each of the members names: Ayumu, Shizuku, and Setsuna.

The name A・ZU・NA was chosen by staff from fan submissions. Other names that were submitted for the group include "Dramatic Hour" and "SHO☆JO".
