Polka Takahashi is a main character in Love Live! Bluebird. She is a first-year student at Love High School's Asakusa Satellite and leader of IKIZULIVE!.
Background
- A a first-year student at L High School Asakusa Satellite. She has a bright and energetic personality, and when she gets happy, her feet start dancing on their own. She has always struggled with math since she was little and failed her high school entrance exams. After enrolling at L High, an online school, she discovered school idols.[1]
Polka was born and raised in Asakusa, where she currently lives with her grandmother. She entered L High after the shock of failing her high school entrance exams. She discovered school idols after entering high school, and decided to become one so more people would know about L High.

Personality
Polka is cheerful and free-spirited, often following her whims without worries. In Polka's self-introduction, she mentions that Mai claims Polka's defining trait is how she spontaneously starts dancing without thinking. Polka enjoys the freedom that L High offers its students, as she struggles with being on time and remembering her materials.
While she can be airheaded, she is also sensitive about her faults, including her difficulty with math and lack of skills or hobbies. She refers to herself as a "guilty girl" for failing to make the most of her middle school days.[2] Though she worries about her shortcomings, she also uses them to push her forward to success.
Clubs and Hobbies
Polka self-admits she has no hobbies prior to joining IKIZULIVE!, listing them as "napping" and "nothing in particular." However, she is seen to enjoy dancing and designing outfits in the Dou-Da? DOING! music video.
Appearance
Polka has long peach-colored hair, some of which is tied into a side ponytail by a pink scrunchie, as well as an ahoge (cowlick). She has wide, lively brown eyes. She frequently sports cute and loose-fitting clothes.
Her middle school uniform consisted of a white collared shirt, black pleated skirt, and red bow tie. She wore a thick navy sweater over it.
