YOHANE THE PARHELION -BLAZE in the DEEPBLUE- (幻日のヨハネ -BLAZE in the DEEPBLUE- Genjitsu no Yohane -BLAZE in the DEEPBLUE-) is a 2023 action adventure game developed and published by INTI CREATES CO., LTD.. It is a 2D metroidvania-style game similar to much of INTI CREATES past work. It is based on the Yohane the Parhelion anime series and was released worldwide on November 16th, 2023 for Steam (PC), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Overview

A game set in the world of Yohane the Parhelion, the official spin-off of Love Live! Sunshine!!.

Developed by Inti Creates, known for Azure Striker Gunvolt and Mega Man Zero.

This marks the first pure console game for the Love Live! franchise in about nine years, since Love Live! School Idol Paradise.

The genre is an exploration-based 2D side-scrolling action game, featuring nostalgic pixel-art graphics.

Simply put, this game can be described as a Love Live!-style Gunvolt. Many of its systems and graphical elements are influenced by Gunvolt.

The protagonist, Yohane, alongside her partner, Lailaps, embarks on a mission to rescue her friends who have disappeared into a mysterious underwater dungeon filled with roaming monsters.

Unique features include enemies inspired by deep-sea creatures and procedurally generated dungeon structures that change every time you enter.
