When she was in her third year of junior high school, a voice actor visited her school for a career experience program. This sparked her interest in voice acting, and she began aspiring to work in a profession that involved using her voice. In her first year of university, she won the category award in the "Amuse Audition Festival 2014" in the Singing/Voice Actor Division, which led to her joining her current agency, Amuse Inc. She graduated from the Department of Broadcasting, Faculty of Arts, Osaka University of Arts.

In addition to her work as a voice actress, she is also active as an actress, mainly in stage productions.

She likes animal-themed items and often carries things like frog and owl pouches. Her love for frogs is so strong that she even keeps a real frog named "Soramame" as a pet.

About Joining Nijigasaki

She faced significant challenges both before and after becoming a member of the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.

Initially, she auditioned for Aqours, the group from the previous Love Live! Sunshine!! series, but was not selected.

Normally, she is the type of person who can quickly move on and try again after failing an audition. However, because of her strong attachment to the project, she couldn’t stop crying after this particular rejection.[1]

Later, she auditioned for Nijigasaki and was cast as Shioriko Mifune, finally achieving her long-held dream of joining the Love Live! series.

The release of the game School Idol Festival ALL STARS (SIFAS/スクスタ), which introduced Shioriko Mifune, was delayed by a year, and as a result, her official joining in the main story was also postponed. Because of this, she was unable to appear at events such as Love Live! Fest in January 2020.

Shioriko finally joined the group in the story at the end of July 2020, and her official membership was announced in August[2]. However, due to actions her character took within the game's story—such as using the recall system to remove Setsuna from the student council president position and transferring regular students to other clubs based on aptitude—as well as being the unprecedented 10th member (breaking the tradition of previous groups), some fans voiced negative opinions.

Additionally, her first live event with the group, the 2nd Live in September, was held without an audience due to the impact of COVID-19, so she could not meet fans in person.[3] Furthermore, Shioriko did not appear in the first season of the anime, which began airing in October.

Afterward, she finally appeared in front of fans at the special live event Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Shuffle Festival in School held in March of the following year (2021).[4] However, the 3rd Live, which took place in May, was based on the first season of the anime. Because Shioriko was not part of the anime’s first season, she was unable to participate in this major numbered live event, which was also the group’s first dome concert.

At that time, she posted a heartfelt tweet saying, "Once again, I find myself chasing after everyone’s backs, but I will definitely catch up with you all!"[5]

It should be noted that, ever since Shioriko's addition to the group was announced, she frequently appeared on streaming programs, showing that the management was considerate of her situation. Despite having to endure many hardships, things finally began to turn around when she took on a leading role in "Nijiyon" Season 4 starting in July. She then appeared in a series of major events, including the Countdown Live in December, the Unit Live in January, the 4th Live in February, and the second season of the anime in April. These opportunities marked the end of her period of adversity. Furthermore, together with Shu Uchida and Akina Homoto, who joined later, they formed the unit R3BIRTH, which is expected to bring her even more chances to shine in the future.

However, since both of her unit mates are fluent bilinguals—one in English and the other in Chinese—she may find herself happily overwhelmed by being surrounded by such talented members.
