Aya Sugisaki is a side character in Love Live! School idol festival. She is a first-year student at Seiran High School, where she is a member of the Seiran High School Idol Club.
Aya first debuted in the rhythm game Love Live! School idol festival as a N-rarity character, but also appeared in Season 2 Episode 13 of the Nijigasaki anime.
Background
Aya is a first-year at Seiran High School with a passion for calligraphy. She initially appears as a nervous and shy girl who used to be unable to speak above a whisper, getting scolded by her teachers for doing so while reading aloud in class when she was younger. As a school idol, she views herself as a rookie who wants to keep improving in order to keep up with the other club members and inspire those like her to take the first step forward even if they're scared.
Personality
Aya is a very shy and bookish girl who is nervous when it comes to being in the public eye. She is notably quite nervous during most events she partakes in and struggles with performing in front of others. After tripping during a live show, she doubts her skills and feels like she isn't meant to be a school idol. She often finds it difficult to put what she wants to say into words and can have a negative mindset regarding herself and her actions.
However, she is gaining in confidence as a school idol, finding herself to enjoy singing onstage without a shred of nervousness and is improving in practices with every day that passes. She is also very determined when it comes to practices, often practicing more than anyone else in the club for their live shows.
Clubs and Hobbies
Aya is a member of the Calligraphy Club at Seiran High School. Through the club, she enters calligraphy contests where she is notably less nervous than her usual self. She finds it very relaxing to grind up the ink used in calligraphy, often zoning out while doing so. Outside of calligraphy, her main hobby is reading.
Appearance
Aya is a short girl with brown eyes and chest-length black hair tied into two twintails with purple ribbons and black hairbands. The ends of her twintails resemble calligraphy brushes.
