Love Live! School idol project characters

Love Live! School idol project is the first installment in the Love Live! franchise, following the school idol unit μ's. The project mainly consists of the animated series and Love Live! The School Idol Movie.

Honoka Kosaka

Honoka Kosaka (高坂穂乃果, Kousaka Honoka) is the primary protagonist of Love Live! School idol project. She is the founder and leader of the school idol unit μ's.

Kotori Minami

Kotori Minami (南ことり, Minami Kotori) is the costume designer and seamstress of μ's, as well as a childhood friend of Honoka Kosaka and Umi Sonoda. She is one of the three founding members of μ's.

Umi Sonoda

Nozomi Tojo

Nozomi Tojo (東條希, Toujou Nozomi) is a member of μ's and the student council vice-president of Otonokizaka High School. She chose the name "μ's" through an anonymous submission.

Tsubasa Kira

Erena Todo

Fumiko, Hideko, and Mika are students at Otonokizaka High School and classmates of Honoka Kosaka. The three support μ's throughout their journey.

Yukiho Kosaka

Yukiho Kosaka (高坂雪穂, Kousaka Yukiho) is a junior high school student and younger sister of Honoka Kosaka. She is close friends with Alisa Ayase and a fan of μ's.

Alisa Ayase

Alisa Ayase (絢瀬亜里沙, Ayase Arisa) is a junior high school student and younger sister of Eli Ayase. She was raised in Russia by her grandmother and is unfamiliar with Japanese language and customs. Alisa is a fan of μ's and wants to become part of the unit when she enters high school.

Director Minami

Simply referred to as Director (理事長), Director Minami is the mother of Kotori Minami and director of Otonokizaka High School.

Akiba Reporter

The Akiba Reporter is a recurring character introduced in Love Live! School idol project. She is a passionate journalist working for the Love Live! tournament.

Maki's Mother

The mother of Maki Nishikino.

Eli's Grandmother

The grandmother of Eli and Alisa Ayase. She is an alumnus of Otonokizaka High School and a former ballerina. She currently lives in Russia.

Nico's Mother

The mother of Nico Yazawa. She is a single parent and has four children.

Cocoro Yazawa

Cocoro Yazawa (矢澤こころ, Yazawa Kokoro) is the older of Nico's younger sisters. She first appears in season 2 of the anime.

Cocoa Yazawa

Cocoa Yazawa (矢澤ここあ, Yazawa Kokoa) is the younger of Nico's younger sisters. She is energetic and wears sporty attire. Cocoa first appears in season 2 of the anime.

Cotaro Yazawa

Cotaro Yazawa (矢澤虎太郎, Yazawa Kotarou) is the youngest of Nico's siblings and her only brother. Cotaro first appears in season 2 of the anime.
